If youāre anything like me, you know the second pumpkin spice hits the shelves, itās officially

spooky season! š» But hereās the thing,
Iām a total chicken when it comes to haunted houses. So every October, I make it my mission to find all the family-friendly Halloween funĀ around Florida, where the focus is on pumpkins, treats, and fall magic (not jump scares!).
This year, weāve been lucky to visit some amazingĀ Halloween events and fall festivals, and the best part is, theyāre all perfect for families with kids of any age. So grab your candy bucket, a cozy sweater, and maybe a caramel apple latte, because here are some of our favorite not-so-scary Halloween adventuresĀ across the Sunshine State. š
š§± LEGOLAND Florida ā Brick-or-Treat
LEGOLANDās Brick-or-TreatĀ is everything youād hope for in a kid-friendly Halloween celebration. The park is decked out in festive LEGO decor, and we loved seeing all the Halloween LEGO charactersĀ come to life. Trick-or-treating was top-notchĀ with stations all around the park, and the entertainment, and themed treats (I still dream of the Franken Fries) added so much extra magic.
Itās spooky season built the LEGO way, and itās a hit for all ages! š§”
šļø Dates: October 25-26 & November 1-2
We were hostedĀ for this event, but all opinions are my own, and honestly, this oneās a must for families!
ā ļø SEA LIFE Orlando ā Pirates of the Haunted Seas
SEA LIFE transforms into a pirateās lair with Pirates of the Haunted Seas, and while the name sounds spooky, itās 100% family-friendly fun. Kids can dress as little pirates, hunt for hidden treasure, and meet the one and only Captain Sebastian!
Jace loved showing him the bonnethead sharks, and we had so much fun exploring the aquarium with all the pirate theming while learning about conservation.

š¾ Dade City Farms Fall Festival
For a classic fall day, Dade City FarmsĀ is the perfect spot!
We enjoyed wandering through the pumpkin patch, taking photos and feeding the cutest Highland cows, goats, and even a camel, and getting lost in their corn maze. The farm also had delicious fall treats; our favorites were the apple cider slushyĀ and apple cider donuts. š
Ā Dates: Every Saturday and Sunday in October - 10 AM - 5 PM
There are also many other local pumpkin patches and festivals going on in this region.
š¦ Dinosaur World ā Jurassic Haunt
We also headed to Jurassic HauntĀ at Dinosaur World, and it was dino-sized fun!
The parkās prehistoric residents get a festive Halloween makeover with pumpkins, cobwebs, and themed displays throughout the trails. Itās the perfect mix of adventure and Halloween spirit without being too spooky for little ones. There were also add-ons like a train ride and fossil digs!
Dates: Every Friday-Sunday until November 1st - 5 - 8 PM

š Florida Aquarium ā Guppyween
Weāll be attending GuppyweenĀ for the first time this year, but since we already love the Florida Aquarium, we know itās going to be amazing!
This family-friendly Halloween event lets kids trick-or-treat among the sea life, and itās all included with admission. We canāt wait to experience it firsthand and share more soon!
šļø Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26

š¾ ZooTampa ā Creatures of the Night
We havenāt attended this event yet, but we adore everything ZooTampaĀ does, so itās high on our list! š¦
Creatures of the NightĀ transforms ZooTampa after dark into a Halloween playground full of eerie (but not too scary) fun, live entertainment, and creative theming throughout the zoo. Itās designed for families and kids who love a little spooky atmosphere without the fright factor.
šļø Friday, October 24, Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26 - 4 - 10 PM
ā Fall Treat Stops Around Florida
Because fall isnāt complete without treats, right? I'm all for everything Apple (sorry pumpkin fans)
š© DG Doughnuts
We picked up their bucket of caramel apple cider, and itās a must-try for fall. I also loved their caramel apple butter latte, which was the perfect mix of cozy and sweet. Oh, and donāt skip the donuts, massive, soft, and loaded with fall flavor!
š Visit DG Doughnuts
šØ Kellyās Homemade Ice Cream
Kellyās always brings the seasonal fun with special October flavors. The best part? Their ice cream flightĀ lets you sample multiple flavors at once. We shared ours among four people and stillĀ had leftovers!
š Check out Kellyās
š¦ Abbottās Frozen Custard
This oneās special to me because Abbottās is originally from Rochester, just about an hour from my hometown in Buffalo, NY, so itās a sweet taste of home! They make apple cider floatsĀ using Wegmans' apple ciderĀ (amazing!) and rotate flavors all season long.
š° Theme Park Favorites
If youāre looking for the bigger Halloween experiences, the major theme parks go all out for families too:
š Mickeyās Not-So-Scary Halloween PartyĀ at Walt Disney World (sold out this year, but be on the lookout for next year), but you can visit Magic Kingdom in the day to see the decorations!
š SeaWorldās Halloween Spooktacular (we didn't attend this year)
š Disney Cruise Lineās Halloween on the High Seas
And donāt forget to visit Disney SpringsĀ for adorable fall photo backdrops, seasonal treats, and Halloween entertainmentāall free to enjoy!
